You'll never have trouble finding activities and attractions in the Finger Lakes. Known as the Outdoor Lover's Paradise, there are unlimited recreational opportunities for the entire family. There are many antique stores, art galleries and theaters; and of course you can always visit one of the Finger Lakes region's famous wineries.
Since the 1930s The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has held the Hill Cumorah Pageant annually at the hill. It regularly attracts thousands to its performances. The church also maintains a visitors' center at the hill, the Palmyra New York Temple, and the former Joseph Smith property and homes.
Canandaigua is the home of Constellation Brands, founded as Canandaigua Wine Company; Finger Lakes Community College; Thompson Health System; the Finger Lakes Performing Arts Center; and Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansion State Historic Park. It is also home to one of the largest Wegman's food markets and the New York Wine and Culinary Center.
One of the major industries in and around Geneva is winemaking. The area is becoming increasingly popular for agritourism: there are over 100 wineries in the Finger Lakes Region, and the Seneca Lake wine trail provides easy access to many of these from Geneva. As Geneva grows as a tourist destination so do the number of rooms available.
