With the St. Lawrence River and over 200 lakes and ponds, world class fishing is easy to find. Enjoy canoeing, swimming, and boating. Water is the focal point of this fun-filled area in the summer. The county has many rivers, lakes and other bodies for a lifetime or a weekend of paddling. Various
cottage colonies offer low cost rentals to provide family vacations on its lakes.
Your visit to the St. Lawrence County wouldn't be complete without seeing the Seaway, one of the world's engineering marvels. The Eisenhower Lock allows a close-up view of ships. Visit St. Lawrence Moses State Park with its 2,200 acres of recreational land. Barnhart Island and Massena Town Beach both have beachfronts that are popular summer spots.
